Regulatory Framework for Aerial Photography by Drone
Carrying out aerial photography within French airspace, for commercial purposes using a drone, requires the intervention of a professional operator registered with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ( DGAC). This also includes a specific declaration of activity in the fields of aerial photography and cinematography.
Depending on the precise location of the shots and the different possible flight scenarios (initially S1 - S2 - S3 - S4, evolving towards STS 01 and STS 02 scenarios in 2024, in accordance with the new European regulations for which our pilots are certified ), it may be necessary to obtain specific prefectural authorizations.
